The maths other brands don't show you
Brands quote price per sachet. What you're buying is collagen — so here's the price per 1,000mg.
KUDU · 20,000mg per shot
UK liquid collagen average
One KUDU box = 280,000mg of collagen. The same amount elsewhere:
Standard one-time prices and doses from each brand's own UK site, checked 4 September 2026. Average = 15 UK ready-to-drink liquid collagens. KUDU £34.95 one-time, from £27.96 on subscription. Cheap only counts if the collagen is good — ours is grass-fed, hydrolysed and backed by research.
The collagen clock
From your mid-20s, your body makes about 1% less collagen every year. For women, the drop turns into a cliff at menopause — losing up to a third of skin collagen in just five years.
Illustrative, based on published research into dermal (skin) collagen, which falls roughly 1% per year from the mid-20s. Individual rates vary.
Absorption
Collagen is a huge protein. Your gut can't absorb it whole — it has to be chopped into small peptides first. Hydrolysed collagen arrives pre-chopped. It's the only kind we use, and we dissolve it for you.
~10g collagen per litre, mostly whole. Two litres to match one shot.
500–1,000mg each. A fistful a day to reach 20,000mg.
Often hydrolysed too — but 20g is a scoop to measure, shake and wash up. The routine most people drop.
20,000mg already dissolved. Rip, sip, done — so you actually do it every day.
Absorption: Skov et al., 2019 — on our Research page. Broth figure based on ~10g collagen per litre of shop-bought broth.
Beyond beauty
Skin needs a little. Tendons, joints and muscle were studied at a lot more. Drag the dose and see how far it reaches.
2.5g a day, 8 weeks: measurably better skin elasticity in 69 women.
5g a day + training: Achilles tendon grew 11% vs 4.7% on placebo. Fewer ankle re-injuries in athletes.
10g a day, 24 weeks: less activity-related joint pain in 147 athletes. Knee cartilage improved on MRI.
15g a day + training: +4.2kg fat-free mass and bigger strength gains than training alone.
20g a day around hard sessions: jump performance back faster at 48h, soreness trending lower. One KUDU shot, two sips.
Doses = daily amounts used in the trials on our Research page (Proksch 2014; Jerger 2022; Dressler 2018; Clark 2008; McAlindon 2011; Zdzieblik 2015; Clifford 2019). Studied doses, not cut-offs — one KUDU shot covers all of them. Competitor doses per sachet, Sept 2026: Zooki 5,000mg, Absolute 8,000mg, Revive 8,500mg, Kollo 10,000mg.

Why KUDU
A note from the founders
“We couldn’t find a clean protein that looked after joints and skin too.”
No sugar, no bloating, no shaker bottle in the kitchen sink. Just a proper dose of collagen you can drink and get on with your day. So we built it.
— Ed & Sam, Founders of KUDU

Whey builds muscle. Collagen builds everything else — joints, tendons, cartilage, skin, hair and nails. Whey contains zero collagen.
If you’re training hard, you need both. But because KUDU’s collagen also contributes to muscle mass, many customers replace their whey entirely.
Every batch is Informed Sport certified — the same standard used by Olympic and Premier League athletes.
Every ingredient is listed on the label. No proprietary blends, no hidden additives. What you see is exactly what’s in the sachet.
Your first box comes with two free sampler boxes, so you can try every flavour and find the one you like.
And if it’s not for you, our 30-day money-back guarantee refunds your first order. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped or cancelled anytime from your account.
KUDU contains hydrolysed bovine collagen so it’s not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. It is dairy-free and gluten-free.
Bovine collagen at 20g is currently the most bioavailable and cost-effective format at this dose — which is why we’ve started here.
Like a fruit shot, not a supplement. Four flavours: Sour Cherry, Orange, Peach, and Strawberry & Vanilla. One flavour per box, 14 sachets in each.
No chalky aftertaste, no protein-shake heaviness — it’s designed to be the easy bit of your day.
Pro tip: tastes even better straight from the fridge.
Post-workout for recovery, morning for a daily habit, or anytime that suits. Up to 3 sachets a day — most people take one.

LOVE IT!! SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT, ALREADY FEEL THE BENEFITS
MY EMPTY BOX SAYS IT ALL
Love them!
Amazing product and love the taste
Sour cherry is a great flavour and the sachet is easy to take on the go. I tried a sample box too which was very generously gifted to me with my first order and I liked the other flavours. Orange I think is my favourite. I definitely feel fuller and have piece of mind that I’m increasing my protein and collagen intake. Too early to see any skin or hair changes I think but I’m going to order another box and I’ll report back with before and after of skin. A brilliant nice tasting product for busy people.
Very good product, tasty not to sweat. I feel much more better and stronger after taking kudu collagen.
Have been on Kudu since the beginning when they first set up and have loved having such a quick and crucial source of protein; especially with my intense work/life balance and focus to workout and run as frequently as possibly.
I have recently become a new dad and as I am now adapting myself to the new normal; workouts have become less frequent / re prioritised while conscious protein intake has become a little more difficult - thanks to KUDU, however, I have instant and easy access to my daily crucial protein source.
Love the cherry !
Taste is fabulous ( all 3 flavours) .. have them from the fridge if you can .. slightly thicker consistency which makes it feel more substantial .. incredible protein to calorie ratio … big fan! (Fat boy getting slim!)
Kudu Collagen Protein – A Total Game Changer!
I’ve tried a lot of protein supplements, but Kudu Collagen Protein is on another level. From the first sip, I was impressed not just by the great taste (especially the sour cherry one), but by how smooth and easy it is to drink. Unlike many protein powders that can be clumpy or chalky, Kudu comes in a convenient, ready to drink sachet that makes getting high quality collagen effortless.
Each serving delivers 20g of hydrolyzed bovine collagen with zero sugar and only 85 calories, making it a perfect choice for anyone focused on lean muscle recovery, joint support, and overall well-being. I’ve personally noticed a difference in my post workout recovery, less soreness, better flexibility, and even improvements in my skin and hair.
The fact that it’s pre mixed and travel friendly makes it super convenient, whether you’re at the gym, at work, or on the go. If you’re serious about performance, recovery, and health, Kudu Collagen Protein is a must have in your routine. Highly recommend!
i popped my knee over a week ago, and I believe the collagen has been a major part of my recovery and a big part of my daily protein intake
Great protein boost
It is unfortunately my least favourite flavour but that is just personal preference. The orange and.peach are my absolute fav, but I'm not reviewing them hence the 3 stars. The products over all are of great quality and worth every penny.
Very easy to consume firs thing in the morning , nice taste
I mix it with yogurt and the taste is unbelievable
Love the flavour of the sour cherry and it’s a great way to boost my protein intake. Really refreshing if I have them straight from the fridge or even frozen on hot days.
A very tasty way of ensuring collegen [bovine] supplement is taken when on a weight loss journey
